St. Austell Brewery Visitor Centre

St. Austell Brewery Visitor Centre

Description

Founded in 1851 by Cornishman Walter Hicks, today St Austell Brewery remains 100% independent and family owned, and produces many of the region’s most popular beers for sale in pubs, bars and supermarkets in Cornwall, Devon, across the UK and also overseas. At the Brewery Visitor Centre you can experience the sights, smells and taste of the historic brewery. Explore the interactive museum or take a guided brewery tour and learn the fascinating story of our pubs, beers, wines and spirits - and the Cornish families who created them over the years.

Our thriving St. Austell estate spans the South West from Bristol to the Isles of Scilly. Many of the South West’s most famous pubs are part of the St Austell Brewery estate and you will usually find one of our pubs at the heart of every community, particularly in Cornwall. The Brewery has 145 tenanted pubs and 25 managed pubs, hotels and inns.

St. Austell Brewery is a proud supporter of Cornwall Good Seafood Guide, and has signed up 5 of its managed pubs to the business supporter scheme: The Hope & Anchor (Hope Cove), The Old Custom House (Padstow), The Old Success (Sennen), The Great Western (Newquay) and The Port William Inn (Trebarwith).
