Ratings Consultation Summer 2018

Posted on: 13th August 2018

Following the release of the latest ICES scientific advice on commercial fish stocks, in July, and as part of our routine Summer update, MCS and Cornwall Good Seafood Guide are consulting on changes to our proposed seafood ratings for many different fisheries and aquaculture farming types.

If you have an interest in our ratings and have technical insight and information that could contribute to the comprehensiveness and quality of these assessments,  we welcome your input.

To comment, please follow the link below, and on the spreadsheet plese complete the indicated feedback column for ratings of interest. Please note, there are 2 sheets in the workbook, one for wild-caught fish, and one for farmed fish.

Towards the bottom of the Wild Caught spredsheet you will find around 80 ratings produced by us at Cornwall Wildlife Trust (CWT) for their Cornwall Good Seafood Guide. We would particularly appreciate feedback on these ratings.

Please send your completed sheets back to ratings@mcsuk.org along with any supporting information and your contact details. Please feel free to forward this article to anyone you think  might be interested in inputting to this consultation.
We welcome feedback until midnight Friday 7th September 2018.
