Located in Marazion just a few steps away from the causeway to the picturesque tidal island of St Michael's Mount, Ben's Cornish kitchen is a recently renovated bistro-style eatery that serves a variety of local food and is frequented by locals and travellers. With exteriors that are simple and modest, the restaurant sports a stylish and elegant atmosphere, with irregular walls, beautiful wooden furniture, and a wooden floor that livens up the entire space. Prepared by Chef Ben Prior, the menu has a number of unique signature dishes that blend well with the traditional fare, prepared from fresh and local ingredients that are well presented.
Ben Prior has 15 years catering experience starting straight from school. Although he has no official training, he has worked with people who are passionate about food, wine and service. He was trained in all aspects of the trade from KP to the Bar at the famous Le Talbooth restaurant in Dedham, Essex were he worked for seven years. After a further nine years ‘up the line’ and a year travelling, he followed in his Grandad’s footsteps and moved to Cornwall.
